Something to do with my hands
Since I had a bad headache on Sunday, I decided to try to distract my aching head by doing something with my hands.
They are up for grabs.
Solid dark purple - claimed by A.J.
Teal/multicolor - claimed by Sandy.
Pink for kymber!
All claimed! Thank you!
I'm done for quite a while.

Bangity Range Bang Trip Bang
The gun:
The target (30') after the first two clips (14 rounds) from this gun.
I have to stop and tell you about the excuse for the 8 ring hit. I always count my shots when I'm shooting at the range. This was one of those few times that I lost track. I was looking over the top of the gun to see if the slide was back at the same time I squeezed off the shot.
Why did I lose track of counting the shots? I was giggling at how #&!%@ fun this Colt was to shoot!
I shot up the target with the rest of the .45 that I brought. More holes outside the 9 ring because I was distracted completely by the delight I was having with the gun. My wife just to my left was still aiming downrange but her head was turned toward me with an odd look on her face because of my giggling. I had no breath control at all. I wasn't taking time to aim. I was just having fun.
But I needed this. I needed the stress relief. I needed to shoot the hell out of something. Just pull a trigger with wild abandon and giggle about this amazing gun.
My Colt. Defender. Rocks!
The only negative for the night? I purchased a spare mag for my little pocket gun (Bobcat) and it failed to chamber rounds. When I would drop the slide it would dent up a round. The small holes on the shoulder of the target was the single good mag. It chambered rounds as fast as I could pull the trigger.
The bad magazine was only a little negative blip in the evening. The Colt was phenomenal!
(No rangemasters were harmed in the making of this evening of delight, just a consumed Winchester white box and a splat target - I hear they like that kinda thing anyway.)

Aim at Nothing
This sign hangs at my indoor range.
Funny quote for a range, but also a message to those people that spend their time doing nothing with their lives.

Occupation
So that I could be vote, my father occupied a country.
So that my country can be free, he occupied a hill surrounded by the enemy.
So that we all can prosper, he occupied a uniform in a smelly hell-hole.
He did what he had to do. Nothing was handed to him. He worked hard to earn what he got.
He then passed it on to me. Riches? Inheritance? No. He passed on the desire to provide for your family. The fortitude to fight to make things better without handouts. The ethic of satisfying hard work.
He earned money by the sweat of his brow. By shaving wood. Driving nails. Building houses that become other people's homes.
There was no sitting in a park whining for him. I'm not protesting people that earn more than me - I'm too busy working. And my son at the age of 15 is working for his own gas money - his boss came to me and told me what a great worker he is.
I'm occupying integrity.
Don't bother getting in line. Those are not the newest iPlanes from China. They are made in the USA by Trustworthy.)
