North, I find mine gets finicky very quickly with fouling. My solution is I take slide-grease and put a nice dab of grease on the rails and on the underside of the barrel where the side travels.
WB: I lubed the gun a bit before the first shoot. Put 100+ rounds through it with no issues. I might just fire it until it fails to see how long it will go.
I'm jealous of your Defender. I shot one at a range many years ago and loved it. Want one in a bad way. May have to get one after I flush put my rifle needs.
Nice score! I had a Springer Ultra-Compact which was the same size as your Colt, and wished I still had it. Of all the carry guns I had, that one felt the best when it came to shooting fast on multiple targets. It's the perfect size for carry in a 1911.

Nice..Good for you !
Very nice! I'm happy for you.
Good Taste!
I'm madly in love with my 21A. Is yours .22 or .25?
Also hard to go wrong with a Colt Defender.
I prefer the commander length guns, but its a 1911, and a damn good one.
Can't argue with that!
Nice purchases there my friend. What is BAG Day, please educate me, lol
WB: It is a .22. So far it fires everything I've thrown at it with no
issues. It is a fun gun to shoot.
Sandy: Buy-A-Gun Day. April 15th (tax day).
I want one of those little Berettas...

Makes it run like a little champ.

But yes, this gun I will keep clean and lubed.
Nice Colt!
Sandy - BAG day is Buy-A-Gun day, celebrated at Tax-Time! :-)
